We are Gloria and Ines, and together we own and operate G&G Gourmet. Our story began in childhood in Brazil, where, though we had not met yet, we shared the same dream: to someday own our own business. We finally met after immigrating to North Carolina, where our children attended school together. After becoming fast friends, we resolved to build a company together. In 2007, we sought an opportunity to buy a small factory in Durham, North Carolina. The factory manufactured Cheenies pão de queijo – the cheese bread rolls that every Brazilian child grows up on, and every Brazilian adult loves to share with friends and family. We have spent the last 11 years growing that company.
From a few local clients to a diverse group of national and international customers and from barely breaking even to rapidly growing profits–we turned G&G Gourmet into something we are proud of. Today, we are realizing our shared childhood dream. We have grown from restaurants and gourmet groceries into online sales– and looking for opportunities to expand further still.
Selling Cheenies pão de queijo isn’t just a job to us – it’s an opportunity to share a piece of our home. That’s why we hold ourselves, our staff, and our product to the highest standards. Our ingredients are all natural, our recipe is authentic, and our process ensures that each and every customer receives a product we’re proud to share.

Selling Cheenies pão de queijo isn’t just a job to us – it’s an opportunity to share a piece of our home.

G&G Gourmet takes pride in making authentic pão de queijo. With honesty and integrity, we will always strive to deliver the best product to our customers.
