Congratulations to Elise Karinshak, Marketing Associate and Ambactus Team member since 2020, for being awarded the Goldwater Scholarship, the most prestigious scholarship in the United States for excellence in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
Elise is a Foundation Fellow at the University of Georgia, pursuing degrees in data science and marketing, a minor in studio art, and a certificate in personal and organizational leadership. She aspires to conduct research at the intersection of data science and communication, developing data mining and model training techniques to contribute to AI-mediated communication and combat misinformation dissemination.
Elise’s experience includes conducting research with Stanford University’s Social Media Lab and UGA’s Crisis Communication Coalition Crisis Research Group. She will be presenting research this May in Paris, France, and has published a Gen Z insight piece in PRNews. She also serves in leadership for student organizations on campus, including founding and leading CodeHub, and serving as co-president of Honors Student Council and co-president of Paw Print Agency.
